Structural Engineers design structures that must endure stresses and pressures inflicted through human use and environmental conditions, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways. They configure structures, choose appropriate building material, inspect the construction work, and ensure the structural soundness of buildings and structures. We are looking for excellent mathematical and investigative skills along with the ability to problem solve with accuracy. An interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of buildings, blueprints capability, knowledge of codes and legal regulations along with budget management skills all apply to the skills required of the Structural Engineer.

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 6 years of work experience as a structural engineer. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines along with ability to work independently and as part of a team. Needs to be able to liaise with individuals from other disciplines. Administer contracts, manage projects, prepare reports, designs, and drawings. Must also obtain planning and/or building regulations approval. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
