A leading law firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its New York office. The role is centered on secured lending transactions and provides the opportunity to develop deep expertise in UCC matters, including Article 9 Secured Transactions and Article 8 Investment Securities.

The selected candidate will work closely with attorneys across the Finance group and other transactional practices, focusing on secured lending matters, security interest analysis, and related documentation. This role is ideal for an attorney interested in developing a strong specialization in UCC law and personal property security structures.

- Strong experience in finance transactions, particularly secured lending
- Familiarity with UCC concepts, especially Article 9 and Article 8
- Experience reviewing and negotiating security agreements and related documentation
- Ability to analyze and review security interest opinions
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple practice areas
- 4–6 years of finance experience (Class of 2022–2020)
- Prior law firm experience strongly preferred
- Experience with secured lending transactions required
- Exposure to UCC matters highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactional work
- Strong academic credentials preferred
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school required
- Strong academic record preferred
