Requires application of engineering principles and knowledge of HV and MV substation design. Practical emphasis on communication between protection device and substation HMIs.
Qualifications: Possess skills in the following areas: Familiarity with electrical protective relays and IED hardware currently utilized in the electric power utility industry. Experience in application of relays, metering and SCADA systems in an electrical substation. Ability to design network topologies using various high voltage IED hardware. Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
Preferred licensed professional engineer: 10 to 15 years of power engineering and 3 to 5 years of related experience in substation automation system.
